BELL/CLARK, NASHVILLE, TN

The FlameOFF® Coatings, Inc.'s product was selected by General Contractor Bell/ Clark in Nashville, TN.

There were multiple areas that required the Intumescent Coating for wood to be used. There was 25,000 sq ft of wood decking that was covered by a composite panel system. The interior area consisted of another 15,000 of wood framing.

FlameOFF® Coatings, Inc. delivered the requirements that the City of Nashville Building Department set:

• Third Party Application of Product
• Third Party DFT Verification
• Approved ICC/ISO Accredited Testing Laboratory for specific wood structural members.
• All products used to be LEED compliant.

A normal interior product could not be selected since the areas being coated were in direct weather conditions.

FlameOFF® Coatings, Inc. was able to give the owner 6 LEED credits on the project. The Zero VOC made the decision only easier. Our products use hybrid resin that was able to pass high humidity testing and UV requirements. The coating is a hard durable finish with outstanding adhesion in direct weather.

The Nashville Convention Center success can be attributed first to our quick response with accurate testing made the project easy. Secondly, we used our resource pool of professional fire-proofing contractors to get the General Contractor the most competitive price for completing the project.
